Pirate's Cove is a hidden beach at the end of a trail with wooden steps leading down to the sand. It started out as a secret spot to bring ashore large stashes of liquor that were smuggled in ships coming into Port San Luis Harbor. Over the years it's become a local's favorite and clothing optional beach.

At Pirates Cove we do not allow outside food delivers, pizza, alcohol, glass, or knives.

This little jewel of a beach just north of Big Corona Beach fits the bill. A little hard to get to but worth the stubbed toes is a wonderful swimming beach, in the summer, for children, with it's calm waters, roped off swim area, and occassional life guard.

On the right-hand side of the star pond, you will see planks that seem to head into the wall. This is the secret entrance to the Pirate Cove. Head through this opening and you will be inside the Pirate Cove!

Before you read any further, yes, Pirate's Cove is a nude beach, so don't be surprised if you see naked people hanging out there and let this be a warning if going with your family.

Pirates Cove is a one-of-a-kind privately-owned residence created by by the Tillotson family in Boulder City, Nevada.

Each guest is permitted to bring one bag into the ballpark (purses, fanny packs, backpacks, etc.) provided that the bag is soft-sided and 16” x 16” x 8” or smaller. Bags exceeding these dimensions will not be permitted inside the ballpark. All bags are subject to search.

Guests may bring their personal coolers with food and factory-sealed beverages inside the park if they purchase a $20 Cooler Pass at the ticket window or online. The $20 Cooler Pass is only valid for one use and may enter the park only once. Coolers must be no larger than 48 quarts.
