from $8.00
Top Notes: Almond, Strawberry Macaron, Honey
Heart Notes: Violet, Osmanthus, Cherry Blossom
Base Notes: Tobacco, Leather, Tonka Bean, Whiskey
Perfumer’s note: I personally like heavy tobacco and leather perfumes but also love very sweet dessert-like fragrances. I’ve been having to layer perfumes to achieve this effect. Queen of the Night is my first gourmand perfume and was formulated specifically to fulfill my desire for a gourmand with a dark, lady of the night bite.
What to expect: the first spritz is VERY sweet and almond heavy. It then moves to a smoky, leathery base middle, before moving back to a honeyed finish. Queen of the Night is sweet but also dirty. She’s a departure from the rest of my fragrances, hope you love!
Right now, only samples (perfume oil) are available. The 9ml perfume oil and 30ml eau de parfum will be available in Janurary 2025.
Pricing note: this formula is extremely expensive to produce. As such, Queen of the Night has a higher price point than the rest of my perfumes.

The Countess de Castiglione
Charged with helping the cause for the reunification of Italy, Florentine Virginia Oldoini became mistress to Napoleon III. Known for radiant beauty and astute fashion sense, the Countess took Paris by storm. As an early adopter of photography, the Countess sat for hundreds of portraits, many of which she directed herself. She wore extravagant costumes and had a surrealist eye.
Her friend and biographer, the dandy Robert de Montesquieu detailed her beauty rituals and said that she doused herself in perfume so much so that it was her signature to overwhelm any room she walked into both with her beauty and her scent.
She put black drapes up in all of her windows and smashed all of her mirrors so that she wouldn’t see her faded beauty and only left her apartment under cover of darkness in a long black veil.
When she died at 62, de Montesquieu reported that her body was found with several uncorked bottles of perfume and the air was suffocated with the fumes from her fragrances. This detail led to speculation that she may have killed herself with her own perfume.
Queen of the Night is a homage to one of the Countess de Castiglione’s most famous portrait, in which she portrayed the Queen of the Night from Mozart’s opera, The Magic Flute.

None of my fragrances or balms should ever be ingested. Keep out of reach of children and animals, and if you are pregnant it’s not a good idea to use essential oils. Additionally, essential/fragrance oils are very potent and can cause allergies or rashes. Always test a fragrance (mine or anyone else’s) on a small patch of skin to make sure that it won’t bother you. Ingredients are listed in each product listing, if you have a known allergy to one of the ingredients do not buy. If you have a reaction to this product, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention (if serious). Please also let me know if you have a reaction so that I may note it for my record keeping.
