Sprawling resort offering 2 pools & shops, plus 4 restaurants, event space & a 5-acre atrium.

We went to Gaylord Texan resort and convention center during Christmas celebration and it was worth the trip. The Convention center is huge. The Christmas tree, Christmas lights, Miniature Christmas village were all great. Even the fountains at this place are huge..! The music in the background makes the experience memorable. We were at the convention center for 6 hrs. and it didn't feel that way. The staff that works here is very friendly and helpful, they guided us well and the staff recommendations were appropriate. The ICE was an great experience, so were the tubing other activities. Kids had lots of fun..!

Parking is $25 for self-park and $45 for valet. Quite a walk inside for people with difficulty doing so. The rooms are nice and the suite is fantastic. We attended a wedding there tonight. Everything was beautiful but not overly extravagant. There was a giant bright digital screen playing advertisements above the bride and groom as they said their vows and the speakers were crackly and kept cutting in and out behind me the whole service, sounded pretty bad. But the cocktail servers were great and the main course servers were amazing and on-point. Friendly, personable, and on top of every step of the meal, down to removing forks from your place setting a you no longer need them. Those were the real VIPs. The inside courtyard is gorgeous. The decor of that whole area was great. It's essentially a giant circle so it was easy to not get lost even for me.I'm not privy to how much they paid and I know darn well it's more than I can afford, but I'm sure to most people the cost would be worth it at this place.

The most beautiful resort I've seen. I simply love the greenhouse effect in the Atrium with the fresh flowers and beautiful trees. It's the best part. The rooms, the service, the kids club, the pools, and the Waterpark are all so wonderful. Even able to rent bikes and the fitness center has all the good equipment. I enjoyed every second of our stay.

I stayed at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center from November 17-20, 2024, for a convention with over 1,000 attendees. The property is impressive in scale and well-suited for large events, with efficient accommodations and above-average buffet options for breakfast and lunch during the sessions. The staff handled everything with professionalism and courtesy, and the Christmas decorations throughout the resort were a standout feature—meticulously done and visually striking. My room in the Lone Star Tower was clean and functional, though it would benefit from some updates to better align with the high standards of the rest of the resort.Overall, this is a solid venue for conventions and large gatherings, with a great atmosphere and excellent service.

Maybe expectations were high on my side since I travel out of country often for my vacations including resort stay, but this "family resort in Texas" wasn't impressive at all by any standard whatsoever.1. Both indoor and outdoor pools were extremely lame - so tiny and poor appearance. Pool bar was a joke and close early. If you are here with your partner, not with kids, there is no way you would dip your toe in the water. We quickly left. Is infinity pool or adult pool too much to expect?2. Cocktails were mediocre at best.3. Foods were OK at the best.4. Overall the properties aren't all that top notch for the price you pay. Air's not fresh, carpets in the aisle seem like replacement needed. As I alluded, this place is not for adults. Also this is a pretty blue collar family resort if you understand what I mean.On the flip side, lobby area is clean and I didn't have to pay $25 parking fee for whatever lucky reason.I just don't see how ANY resorts in the US can possibly compete with Cancun or anywhere in Caribbean.

It was highly recommended to me to take my family here just to immerse ourselves in the wonder of the Christmas season. We were told that the Gaylord Texan at Grapevine, Texas does a fantastic job in maintaining and decorating its grounds. And, so it is! Upon arriving inside the lobby, the HUGE atrium has beautiful greenery and floral plants, fountains, and a winding water canal throughout. One must come during the Christmas holiday, when this resort is especially decorated in utmost elegance!

The only reason I’m giving a five star review is because of Jason the bellman. We arrived at 4:00 for check in. It was our anniversary and we had dinner reservations that evening in Grapevine. Our room wasn’t ready yet and we had to wait an hour, giving us little time to get in our room and get ready for dinner. I was upset and stressed out. We never leave our little kids for an over night stay and i wanted this night to be perfect but things were not going as planned. But Jason was amazing. He talked with me while we waited and kept my mind off the frustration. He mad me laugh and his calm demeanor was infectious. I ended up having a great time chatting with him while we waited for our room. And he was so patient while he waited with our things. If I ever go back to the Gaylord again it will be because of Jason’s kindness.-side note - ladies if you want a man who listens I think Jason is single.

Nice hotel, but for the cost, i dont think its necessarily worth it. It took us over half an hour to get downstairs from our room because the elevators were so full and then another hour to get out of the parking garage because the attendant takes about 5+ minutes per car. Overall was good, the rooms were clean, check in process was great, but parking sucks and they need to reinvest in their elevators. Several broke down not to mention the terrible parking garage elevator that feels like a sauna and also sounds sketchy. Not what I was expecting for such a big expensive hotel.

It's very nice but should be for the price. Ate at Riverside Cantina also, were seated quickly, service was slow in arriving and meals coming out were very slow. The server was attentive and apologized multiple time for the slowness of the kitchen. The food was generally pretty good, although the Guacamole was relatively tasteless. Staff was running around like chickens with heads cut off, but not much food was moving. When we left, lots if empty tables and a large group of people waiting to be seated. Guess that means short staffed. Very poorly managed restaurant, at least that shift. The resort is nice but if this restaurant were to get a rating, would be challenging to give it a single star. Go out in town and eat, a lot of nice restaurants in Grapevine! Better food and better service.

My family and i stayed here for a weekend for my birthday and the experience was absolutely amazing! We all loved everything we experienced here - aside from my service at the relache spa - i would not recommend the spa to anyone. The room was perfect, the water parks were so amazing we all loved every aspect of it! All of the food at all the restaurants were amazing. All workers we experienced at all stops had phenomenal customer service. I can’t wait to return. This place made for a very memorable birthday.

Exceptional service above and beyond from every single employee working at this hotel & convention center. The convention center food service employees were fantastic. We were with a large group at the convention center and the service was outstanding every single day. These employees & managers love what they do and it shows through there smiles and helpful attitudes. This is a top notch convention center, and when we returned home we were still talking about how thrilled we were about the awesome service provided by all of the staff at the Gaylord Texan.

We had a really great time during our stay. The staff was very friendly and provided great service. From getting our luggage to our room to keeping our room clean. We had a balcony view of the atrium on the side of the Latin restaurant. It was fairly quiet despite the restaurant staying open late. There are 3 restaurants on site and two places for coffee and snacks. So there are plenty of options to eat. We still ended up getting doordash because kids are eating at odd timings. Both Italian and the Latin restaurant had a good menu and good food. We also ate lunch at the American restaurant, which had burgers, fries, etc. There is a spa on-site where we had nails done it, however cost is pretty high, I think it is a nice option to have if you're attending an event in the hotel. The kids club doesn't open until 4 pm during the week, so it was not an option since we were here during a weekday stay. There are two pools one indoor and one outdoor in the hotel but outdoor pool was in construction so our only option was the water park which was closed half day due to storms the first day we got there. Overall, a good stay, I would probably stay again on a weekend if you are planning on doing kids' activities.

What an awesome experience we had here at the Gaylord! My husband surprised us with a trip for my birthday and the Gaylord staff were quick to make it comfortable and easy to get settled in. The hotel, the staff, and the amenities are all spectacular, and very exciting for adults as well as our young children. We especially enjoyed the trains and the water park.We accidentally included ourselves in the “house keeping week” Kona Ice truck celebration and the staff were quick to surround us and sing happy to me after blessing us with complimentary snow cones. If that wasn’t enough, they also sent a box full of treats up to our room later in the day with birthday tidings! Finally, the hotel staff themselves made sure to surprise us yet again with a birthday banner and chocolate when we got in that evening. I can’t put into words how amazing this place was and how special I felt on my birthday.

Fun for all! Whether visiting for business or a getaway, this is a great place! We didn't like all the bars or restaurants, but it was nice and convenient having them all under the same roof! The employees were all cheerful, nice and friendly! We appreciated each and every one of them! The sites while walking around were fun and exciting! The gorgeous plants throughout and impeccably maintained, the electric trains running about in several locations, and the stream of water all around you is a main focal point! Beautiful fountains to sit by our watch from afar! There is so much going on at all times! The rooms were comfortable and cozy! It location was quiet with very little sound! The steak house was closed and under renovations! The sports bar had spectacular TV views and great food! The chili was outstanding! Several food items were ordered, and none disappointed! The Mexican restaurant was by far the best food under the dome! So much food and prepared to perfection! The salsa was great, and the cheese dip is the best we've ever tasted! Incredible! The Italian restaurant isn't really an Italian restaurant! If lasagna isn't on the menu, and you have a mere handful of pasta dishes, call it something else! The salmon was good! The water park wasn't visited, but it looked like a great place! We'll be back again soon!

Overall it was a pretty good experience. Below is why I couldn’t leave 5 - Stars.- Valet took forever. Over 20 minutes to get my car- I get Starbucks all the time. Always the same drink. This is the first time they didn’t make it correctly, but still charged for an item I didn’t receive.- Service was slow at the water park. Ordered a chocolate popsicle and it took literally 20 minutes. Probably quicker to order at the shop itself.- ordered room service. Wife paid everything online and tip too. We didn’t communicate on that which is our fault. When delivered I was asked for a tip so I didn’t. Therefore double tipping. All small things in the whole scheme of things, but just wanted to note. I would go back but more aware of everything.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. It would have been fantastic had the rooms been updated. We stayed at the Gaylord this summer. Taking walks in the atrium while the heat outside was 90 degrees felt really nice. Our kiddo had a great time at Paradise Springs and the food was awesome. I’ve never seen jumbo shrimp at a family park before.

Nice hotel, clean rooms, nice restaurants to choose from, overall, great experience for a conference meeting. Not sure if I would stay there for a personal reason since it's too busy, but that's just me. No microwaves in the rooms and you can't rent one either, so if you like to reheat your leftovers, you have to go down to a common area. But overall, it's a beautiful hotel if you plan on being very busy and entertained.

I have never walked more in one place it felt like. One day there I walked 10 miles. The rooms were accommodating. The Atrium was beautiful and the walk along what memeics the river walk was my favorite part. There is a nightly light show and lots to do. Just remember when dining in the resort, things are very expensive for sure! It is a cashless place...so remember that. $25+tax per day for general parking and 40+tax for Valet parking. It's definitely an amazing place!

So many things to list. The safe was locked in the open position so maintenance had to come unlock it so I can use it. However it took over an hour to get there. Then the safe wasn't even bolted down. The room was dirty upon check in, you could see water spots on the bathroom floor. Requested housekeeping to clean up the little bit that was an issue, but housekeeping never showed up the entire trip. The water park has free chips and salsa for elite members but I still ended up getting charged. I saw the charge on the bill and the front desk was of zero help explaining why it was there. They said I had to speak with billing. Um, no. They ended up removing the charge but it was a super pain to get them to do it. There's very little signage. We packed snacks for the water park but then before the bus they inspected the bags and told us no food. If you park at the water park there's no inspection and can take in whatever you want. Room key is supposed to let you in and out of the parking garage, but the system was broken. Pushing the call button on the gate and no one answers. The employee in the car behind me got out and walked up and scanned his badge to let us out. Serious safety concern if you can't get out of the parking garage. Many more things piled up and you would think as a Marriott and as a resort it would have been better. Breakfast for 4 of us was over $50/day. There's no concierge or elite member lounge. It was not worth the trip. Kids had more fun at Medieval Times than the water park.

Came for a trade show. Very nice resort. Seems like a good area. Huge resort. Had a place to hold our bags while we were at the trade show. Facility was clean. Nice restaurant choices on site. We did eat at one of the restaurants and it was pretty good, pricey but that's to be expected at these type of resorts. Can't speak on the rooms since I didn't stay on site.

We are beyond frustrated with this property. We gifted my parents two nights with the Gaylord Texan for their 40th anniversary. Everything was wrong - they didn't have our payment information on file, which we arranged ahead of time, and tried to get it from my parents when they checked in. We had to call and make my parents wait in the lobby while they re-gathered the correct information from us so we could gift it. My dad put his card on file for incidentals. Three weeks after their stay, not only has a charge been processed on my card, but there is also a new charge for a higher amount on my parents card. Calling to correct it, the property says they cannot even locate the reservation and has no record of it. Either someone stole credit card information here for both me and my parents, or someone is horribly inept. Management does not card. I spent another hour on the phone this morning being passed from the property to a call center overseas and back to the property. Everyone blames someone else and says I need to talk to a different department.

I stayed here 3 nights for a convention and I was very pleased with the rooms. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom a little outdated but clean. I love that the in room safe can fit my big laptop. Only bad thing, no microwave in the room or anywhere on the floor. The food at the Mexican restaurant was ok. Didn't try the others. The housekeeping were super nice and all the front desk workers. There were 3 big conventions at the same time And honestly everything ran smoothly. It was easy to self park. Alot of spaces.

I’m thrilled, seriously! What a resort! The first expected wow is due to the center Atrium, filled with natural plants and carps swimming in the indoor river, lights hanging beautifully from the glass ceiling. At night you’ll find amazing spots for photos. I could just stay here contemplating. Then you add 9 restaurants/bars, 1 indoor pool, 1 outdoor pool, 1 water park (with an every 10 minutes private shuttle from the lobby), activities for kids, spa and fitness center. It’s plenty and perfect for a long weekend!Parking is $45 for valet and $25 for self parking - overnight fees.Rooms are clean and comfortable. Special observation for the closet which is huge, the biggest I’ve seen in a hotel! I love it because your bags don’t have to stay in your way clustering the room. The air conditioning works perfectly as well.

We had a great time during our stay for a conference. The hotel was clean, fun, and easy to get to. Even though we didn’t bring our kids, I could totally see this being a great spot for families. The water park was awesome—well-maintained, fully staffed, and the food was really good. Surprisingly, one of the best parts was the banquet food, which is usually just okay at these events, but it was outstanding! The only downside was the super slow check-in process, as they seemed understaffed. Overall, we’ll definitely be back!
