Thief 1 / 2 Save Game Editor (where is it ?)
Does anyone have a link for it ?
I just had to reformat my HD and lost the editor. (not to mention I have to use my original CD's to play the game now as no available N*CD's seem to work any more - even Komag's !)
I did a search for the Editor on here but no (working) link exists. Ditto Google, I just can't find the damn thing.
Pleeeeeeease no flames on the ethics of cheating etc.

Thanks Clearing !!!
It's all abit arbitary now. I went to re-install T2 and damn Disk 1 gets stuck on SND.CRF everytime !! I can load it via the Windows Explorer, but setup just gets stuck in a loop. The CD surface looks ok, no major scratches, not even minor ones.
This is sh*tter news than when the Win32:Virut virus took down my HD in the first place.
Ah well.

I wonder if it would help burrick find peace at last, so burrick will stop asking about it every other year no matter what the answer is.

You should also include another definition of what a PM is in here too then, save him having to ask

Heh heh.
If you get your games up and running with the save game editor, could you post back here with your opinion on how well it works?

I've used the Save Game Editor for as long as I can remember, it's a beautiful piece of software.
If you've got more than one of anything (except stuff like keys, blackjacks, sword etc, of course) then it gives you 32768 of them !

Yes, save game editor.
I'd just use Dromed, but that can be a little daunting if it's your first time (or first few dozen times).

Perhaps I should have elaborated. Though jtr7's link basically answers my question, now that I've read it. Though I have one additional question: Is that all that the save game editor does?

Does this still work for folks? I downloaded it, but when I run it, nothing happens. No errors. No messages. Nothing. Do I need to download any of Microsoft's frameworks for this?

You know, I'm usually pretty good at mentioning what I'm running on, but I just forgot in this case. I'm actually running Windows XP and I did try several of the compatibility modes to no affect.
I did however figure out a simple way to edit your save games file if you're willing to use a diff tool and a hex editor.
I posted my findings here: http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthrea...43#post1950528
You could use this technique to change the quantities of anything in your inventory.

I don't know, but even if you could get it to start, it would not be compatible with saves made under NewDark.

You may already know this but just a heads-up to say that this save game editor does also work with T2X: Shadows Of The Metal Age.
