A popular Asda item has been urgently recalled over concerns it has ingredients in it that may pose a risk to the health of some shoppers. The high street supermarket's 'Simple To Cook Asian Inspired Pork Belly Slices' have been taken off the shelves and shoppers that have already purchased the item have been told "do not eat it".

The much-loved company discovered that some of its products may contain milk and sulphites, which could be hazardous to those with allergies. In addition, some products have been mispackaged as Asda Simple To Cook Tomato & Mozzarella Pork Meatballs. The use-by date on the concerned products is April 25, and the barcode is 5063089827178.

An Asda spokesperson told The Sun that no other date codes have been impacted. "We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused. If you would like any further information please contact Asda Customer Relations - 08009520101," they added.
